The cabins are in Häljeboda, a village in the municipality of Eda in western Värmland, Sweden, close to the Norwegian border. Forest spreads out all around, and below the lawn lies Borgsjön - part of the Bortan-Häljeboda fishing conservation area. A mown grass path leads down through the birches to your own jetty, about 50 metres from the houses. Renting a cabin in Värmland comes down to exactly this for many people: a self-catering holiday home, the lake below and no neighbours in sight. Charlottenberg, with its shopping and border trade, is about 16 km away, roughly a 20 minute drive.
Summer brings swimming from the jetty, trips out onto Borgsjön and long light evenings. In autumn the forest turns colour and you can pick mushrooms and berries. Winter is snow-covered and still, while the wood-burning stove keeps the cabin warm. In spring the light returns and the birdlife wakes.

The cabins sit by Borgsjön in the Bortan-Häljeboda fishing conservation area, with 48 fishable waters and plenty of pike, perch and trout.

Both cabins sleep up to 4 guests and are entirely on one floor. Ängåsen 2 is 61 m² with a studio and one bedroom, Ängåsen 3 is 60 m² with two bedrooms.
Yes. The cabins can be rented separately or both together if you are a larger group.
SEK 1,450 per night for the whole cabin, with a minimum stay of 5 nights. A cleaning fee of SEK 2,000 is added, and bed linen and towels can be rented for SEK 250 per set. Five nights therefore comes to SEK 9,250.

About 125 km, roughly a two hour drive. Take the E18 towards Kongsvinger, continue towards Magnor and cross the border at Eda, then head north to Häljeboda. From Karlstad it is about 111 km, just under two hours.
Sweden and Norway are both in the Schengen area, so there is no routine passport control. Bring valid ID, and check the customs rules for what you may bring in.
